Sunny days
The earth is happy
Smiling big
So bright
Silent are the storms
The dark clouds cannot be seen
The earth is still
Calm
This day enjoy and pray
For tomorrow we know not of
But just be thankful
For this sunny day
That is upon us
I love you
When the sun doesn't shine
I love you at any given time of the day
I love you in the color blue and in the rain
I love you at the close of the day
I love you at dawn
When the day begins and the sky is red
I love you here
I love you there
I love you everywhere
I love you all the time
Your always on my  mind
I Love You
Pomegranate
Scent I'm so addicted
Makes me feel a certain way
That with words I can't explain
So I question
And I weigh
The consciences
Of confessions
and the pain
Of rejection
For our sake
I'll keep it safe
Lips sealed
Nothing revealed
A Butterfly song
As it flutters along
With silent ease
Poetry in motion
Gently whispers
A silent tune
While in flight
It mimics the color wheel with different hues all about
And they dance and twirl
Fascinating all who watch
Just one of those things
We admire and love
Truly a gift from Heaven above
A free bird leaps on the back
Of the wind and floats downstream
Till the current ends and dips his wing
In the orange suns rays
And dares to claim the sky.

But a BIRD that stalks down his narrow cage
Can seldom see through his bars of rage
His wings are clipped and his feet are tied
So he opens his throat to sing.

The caged bird sings with a fearful trill
Of things unknown but longed for still
And his tune is heard on the distant hill for
The caged bird sings of freedom.

The free bird thinks of another breeze
And the trade winds soft through
The sighing trees
And the fat worms waiting on a dawn-bright
Lawn and he names the sky his own.

But a caged BIRD stands on the grave of dreams
His shadow shouts on a nightmare scream
His wings are clipped and his feet are tied
So he opens his throat to sing.

The caged bird sings with
A fearful trill of things unknown
But longed for still and his
Tune is heard on the distant hill
For the caged bird sings of freedom.
