The essence of striving
Breaking my will till I feel like I'm dieing
**** mediocre I'm yelling and writhing
Breaking platues 'cause I live to keep climbing

What is this in me that lives for the pain
People who don't do this they call me insane
But I'm not here for glory or to make a name
I'm here to prove to me that my will makes me change
"There's something you have to understand about training. .. There's an integration of mind body and spirit that's at play.. Lifting barbells isn't just lifting ******* barbells"
-Elliott Hulse
The sound of the woodpecker pecking it's tree.
The sound of the wind flowing through the leaves.
The sight of butterflies taking flight.
Seeing the lizard taking in the last of the suns warm light.
The view of the mountains off in the distance.
They are said to be the oldest on this continent.
Mesas and platues continue this lanscape. The valleys and crevices below bring forth the beauty of this earth.
Helping us to see how great is our worth. Down in the valley, stands alone, an old oak tree.
Given to us for its beautiful changing colors to see.
Reflections of Autumn

Do you look out from where you stand
and shout out your decree?
Do you look
only
out
and not within
When making such a scene ?
Are there higher points that you could reach
Where the view is clearer still?
With new eyes you begin to see
How your perspective shapes your will.
Higher platues away from your phones
Things found in dusty books
When men of wisdom laid stepping stones
That not many of today have took
The thing about these paths are
They never end
There are millions of stones to be laid
Perhaps by your hand
Take that first step and let the journey begin.

In the brisk fall air  I see a young colt standing there he was blue like the midnight sky and wondering were to go from here as was I we both would travel from mountains to platues but stand in the mist of are foes as the blue roan roams as the blue roan roams so do I too seek freedom and pursue happyiness the land was cold were we came from hoping we see warmer days His eyes were teary from the winter chill and and we also were sad of not having a place to rest so we were like to lost stranger with a bond even though we just met he dreamed of the greenest pastures to race through time and danger And I dreamed of a life I can call my own and longed for a place we can call home as the blue roan roams
