Nina Davuluri, born April 20, 1989,
is an American public speaker and advocate,
who is currently the host of the reality show
Made In America on Zee TV America.
As Miss America 2014, she was also
the "first contestant of Indian descent
to win the Miss America Competition"
as well as the second Asian American.
Shortly after becoming Miss America,
Davuluri became the target of xenophobic
and racist commentary in social media.
Her win also instigated dialogue in India
and the Indian diaspora over the topic
of colorism. Davuluri has since worked
as a speaker and advocate for gender
and civil rights issues. In 2018, she co-founded
a skin care company based on Ayurveda, Aavrani.
Mallory Hytes Hagan, born December 23, 1988,
is an American politician and former beauty
queen who won Miss America 2013 as Miss
New York 2012. She moved to New York
in 2008 after her first year of college at Auburn
University. Prior to winning Miss America,
Hagan was also Miss Brooklyn 2010,
Miss Manhattan 2011, Miss New York City
2012 and a two-time Miss New York first
runner-up. When living in Alabama, Hagan
had been runner-up in the Miss Alabama's
Outstanding Teen program. As Miss Chattahoochee
Valley 2007, was a non-finalist talent winner
at Miss Alabama. She won the Miss America
competition on a platform of child ******
abuse awareness and prevention due to her
family history of child abuse. She also
gave a response on the issue of gun
control in which she opposed fighting violence
with violence. She ran in the 2018 congressional
election as a Democrat in Alabama's 3rd
congressional district, which contains 14
counties and includes her hometown
of Opelika, Alabama.
Laura Marie Kaeppeler, born March 2, 1988
is an American beauty pageant titleholder
crowned Miss America 2012 on January 14,
2012, representing the state of Wisconsin.
Kaeppeler was the first woman representing
Wisconsin to win Miss America since
Terry Anne Meeuwsen won Miss America
1973. She is one of the Board of Directors
for the Miss America Organization.
Teresa Michelle Scanlan, born February 6, 1993,
is an American beauty pageant titleholder
from Gering, Nebraska who was named Miss
Nebraska 2010, subsequently winning Miss
America 2011 at age 17 and becoming the youngest
Miss America since Bette Cooper in 1937.
On August 1, 2016, she was one of the guest
judges in the final Miss Earth United States
2016 pageant in the Schlesinger Concert Hall,
Alexandria, Virginia. She has also served
as a national judge and emcee for the USA
National Miss Scholarship Pageant.
