I opened my heart
To a new beginning
So you could have a fresh start
So your world might stop spinning
But as I layed out my walls
You pushed at me
And slowly I watched them fall
And it hurt to see
You couldn't wait for me to come along
You had to have it now
You couldn't wait long
You made me bow
You see I don't like this
I can't lay my head to the floor
I won't watch this
As you parade like a *****
To this man you only just met
To this guy you want to love
I can't approve this yet
Even if you want me too
It's you I vowed to protect
After every mans cold dagger
I will be there to help select
Incase you stagger
Just don't let me down
I don't want to cry
Don't make me frown
Don't make me die

A mirrors image
never enough
to reach through the glass
touch all that I am
soft skin, lost in ecstasy
a beauty incarnate
soft angelic whispers
lifted beyond this eternal realm
years of searching for my soul
who knew it could be found
on the other side of the glass
reflecting across my forever planet
reaching out to me as I was to it
the day I crave
I shatter the glass
stepping into my world

I'll keep dreaming,
while you keep believing.
But that's okay.
As long as I'm with you,
I'll keep dreaming.

Broken and pretending
Lost in nothing
Winning by default
losing by rule
Can’t stop the patterns
Nothing is cool
Can’t stop pretending
Now who are you?

Are words are just words
Until you group them together
Into a sentence,
And then a paragraph,
And mold them into a story?

Then, definitely, they are much more.
They are your heart
Ripped clean out
And set down neatly on paper,
Dark red fighting against white.

They are powerful,
Inducing smiles,
Or quiet laughter,
Or silent tears,
Or a feeling of awe that lasts for days.

But if you take the rest away
And leave one word sitting on the page
Does it really mean anything?
Is it more than just a word?
Could the same reaction be found?

The truth is, not all words
Are merely words.
If you don't believe me,
Try out "love", or "death", or "forever",
Or a name that could only ever belong to one person.
And "sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me" is a load of crap...
