or from the steering wheel

hospital entrance

or from your drive way to
the spot where you have to
pay for parking

or from the handset of
your telephone to his ear—

exhausted,

you can only
whisper
into it—

"i love you Daddy"

and hope this time
he can feel your
breath...

some things like ribbons
in my hair I'd cut the ties
and have them swinging free like
Gibbons in the tree.

If I could undo
the damage I’ve done
but how do you stop
a flying bullet after it’s shot
from a gun?

If I could undo
all the pain
I’d take a pair of scissors
and shear the clouds
stopping the rain.

If I could undo
the past
like a broken arm
set in a cast
but how shall I cast light
on covered broken pieces?

Weld them together with love
is the thesis!

these days, emptiness is beginning to look more like a poem that writes itself. the irony is it is everything i can't be and everything i am

A tear
is but a drop in the ocean.

As pain
is only for a moment.

As beautiful as a rose can be
It can still hurt yo with thorns below
As beautiful as day can be
It is still not forever
As beautiful as hugs can be
That person is not forever
As beautiful as a new born can be
They too can turn into a ugly truth
As beautiful as a poem can be
They hide deep emotions
As happy as I act to be
I'm dying inside which you can't see

I stare into the flames
and wonder what it would be like to burn,
to feel anything at all
except for this agonising numbness.
My eyes close slowly,
my breaths come slowly,
as if I could disappear for a while.
Take up so little space,
separate from the world for a minute
and make this feeling go away,
make these screaming thoughts stop
and allow me a moment of peace.
