MT Browder Jan 2021
I did not wake this morn
and I'm the only one who noticed
MT Browder Jan 2021
can't sleep indeed
what do you need
you did this last
and the night past
just let me go
what should I know
I'll have to listen closer
to the universe composer
MT Browder Jan 2021
you enjoyed my advances
and made some yourself
we were the same
and moved as one self
time did not stream
yet only a dream
MT Browder Jan 2021
today i walk on grass
soft and clean
damp and green
i hope it is still here
tomorrow is near
what act of God
how will i trod
if the grass is not there
MT Browder Jan 2021
the sun rises
slow and steady
warm and bright
even for the dead
and again tomorrow
the sun sets
slow and steady
cold and dark
even for the living
and again tomorrow

Traveler
Whether a comma, or colon:
Punctuation slows my rolling
I need no period. When I end
no Capitalization when I begin
Rulelessly I flow my art
  Not a single!
Exclamation mark
Are you not the one
Who'll know?
Where a question mark
No longer goes

Warp the structure
Bend the lines
Put in repeat
Let emotion unwind
Make yourself
Your poetry's the best
Be your own ruler
Pass your own test

Take your own road
Where ever it leads
Lover or hater
It's all poetry!

Hay
No matter who you are
You have my deepest respect!

Vanity
All is vanity
The meanings of passion
The aesthetic expression
The lines we draw and stay within
Even love is beyond intent
Vanity transcends
Flowing from our pens
And so we breathe again

“You have to move, get up.”
“I don’t want to.”
“This is sad you need to get over yourself.”
“I’m broken, and I don’t think I can be fixed.”
“Then fake it. Get up and put on a smile.”
“It hurts too much; I just want to cry.”
“No crying! It’s not worth it.”
“But I just can’t let go…”
“You have to move on. It’s the only way.”
“Please, all I want is five minutes to let it all out.”
“You’re pathetic. Fine. Five minutes.”
“Thank you,” said the heart.
“You’re welcome,” said the mind.
And the heart and mind cried together.
Just for five minutes.
