ok okay
Luminous she was
My glance met her eyes
An intensity so strong
I could not smile
Even if I tried
So still was the world
when your lips met my skin
It could be the end
Or just the beginning
But for now, let's just kiss
I might be an egg
Might just let it mellow
Silent in the night
Close my eyes and see

She's a dancing star
I remember Surf Ohio
Book of Kells in Dublin
Man said meant to be

A protector who needs protection

Santa Rosa son

Poetry
Crisp backdrop relief
While on the bark,
a blanket comforting your heart
Take it with you,
on your autumn stroll
Sit under a tree
Wait
Did you see the mole
Was that a leaf,
that drifted from the tree,
while gazing at the sky I see

She stands before the bathroom mirror
Creating several different faces
Tryng to find the one that doesn’t
Make her look so tired and old.

Some of them make her look ill
A couple more look silly.
The one she finally settles on:
A wan and disappointed smile -

Accepted as least ugly of the bunch
It’s not the face she’d hoped to wear
In this the Autumn of her life.
She expected some small trace
Of former beauty to remain.

She tried to make a little sparkle
To liven up her somber eyes
And find the muscle in her cheek
That lifts her lips into a grin.

A sorry rictus of despair
Was all that effort brought her
So she gave up and threw the switch
And slipped away in darkness

I remember seeing my mother standing in front of the mirror trying different ways of smiling and holding her face.;She wasn't happy about growing older. Hey...neither am I.

Idk what to say
So i make a noise
It is a bridge between us

But you’re a floating island
And I'm solid granite

Would that i were like you
Perhaps, in the great scheme of things, even death is enough to elicit love in people who are shaken by grief.

I'm looking at the world through your eyes
Tonight the birds shall fly
The trees will be verdant under moonbeams
Yet you're always unhappy
Why?

I have so many words to say
But my mind is constantly
Averting a crisis daily
It is in a state of flux that I can't explain

As I scratch and scrape for the emotions
My heart cannot tell its difficult story
But my poetry goes through the motions
It searches for words, that I write spontaneously
