And so the girl child sat
knitting melodies beside
the great river of words.
Soon her songs were heard,
beyond the Lake of Lyrics
and the vast Sea of Verse.

The evening tide carried them
across oceans to foreign shores.
Field workers sang her songs
to children in their hovels.
They escaped the lips of scholars
in the great halls of learning.

The child became a woman,
and still she weaved the magic,
from the words of the river,
for the hearts of all who read them.
As she weaved she told the secret
to a child who knitted beside her.

Emerging from the womb of time
I heard her whisper to my heart.
I felt the great river in my being,
and I began to knit a melody.
I heard my soul sing with joy,
I am the child of an ancient poet.

Past: I loved you yesterday,
in all the days before then,
way back to when I first
met you.

Present: I love you today,
more than I can ever say.

Future: tomorrow I will love
you. From here on, come
what may, our love will lead
us into and through every day.

Tobias
I crashed into the sunset
I was bent against the hues
You found me fallen against the clouds
And saw me crushed by the blues

I was wrecked

Smashed against the windsheild
In a pink and rose milieu
My heart had broke against the glass
And burned me hitherto

Out in the skies I pilot
I crashed into ultraviolet

And headed toward doom

I was spinning rapidly out of control
Until I pulled my parachute

I took in all the damage
What a beautiful view
I crashed into the sunset

But I landed on the moon
.
When a Dryad cries …

… the bright red leaves
drip
and the tree stands
in a pool
of blood

… forest green leaves
drip
and the tree stands
in a pond
of heartbreak

… red and green leaves
drip
and the tree stands
in a lake
of sorrow

There is no sadder song
than when a tree dies,
there is no deeper grief
than when a Dryad cries.

Dryad - A Tree Nymph/Sprite

If you want a lover
I'll do anything you ask me to
And if you want another kind of love
I'll wear a mask for you
If you want a partner
Take my hand
Or if you want to strike me down in anger
Here I stand
I'm your man
If you want a boxer
I will step into the ring for you
And if you want a doctor
I'll examine every inch of you
If you want a driver
Climb inside
Or if you want to take me for a ride
You know you can
I'm your man
Ah, the moon's too bright
The chain's too tight
The beast won't go to sleep
I've been running through these promises to you
That I made and I could not keep
Ah but a man never got a woman back
Not by begging on his knees
Or I'd crawl to you baby
And I'd fall at your feet
And I'd howl at your beauty
Like a dog in heat
And I'd claw at your heart
And I'd tear at your sheet
I'd say please, please
I'm your man
And if you've got to sleep
A moment on the road
I will steer for you
And if you want to work the street alone
I'll disappear for you
If you want a father for your child
Or only want to walk with me a while
Across the sand
I'm your man
If you want a lover
I'll do anything you ask me to
And if you want another kind of love
I'll wear a mask for you
