I hide in my secluded world and talk about what others hadn't accomplished?
While overlooking the brick wall of racism placed before them.

When confronted with it?
You avoid the bigger picture of tricks of the trade.

Political games used.
Bigotry within the courts and this we still see.
And some of the best writing about their legacy.

You brought your way through life on a prayer afraid that those you hated upon is now accomplishing more.
And we witness you crying they stopping you.
Like what?
Like when?
Many of you can't admit Affirmative Action truly your best friend?
Not the minorities you cry the most about.

But in your secluded world that you hardly ventured from.
You get upset quick and more likely to use a gun because things are changing from the world you know.

Then that's just the way it goes.

can be easily satisfied
if you’re a child -
a toy
or a candy-bar
a vacation in the family car
a warm lap to climb into
a hug

Some children’s desires
are intangible such as -
security and love
These emotional desires
go unfulfilled
into the hearts of adults. Then the toys become
bigger things. And the candy-bars
become drugs.  And the desire becomes

stronger than it ever was. It’s sought
in many faces -
all with different names. But
the expectations remain the same. Desire
then becomes
a bottomless pit of neediness
that cloaks
that of love. If only it was satiated when
it was simple as a hug.

The difference between the intelligent and unintelligent:

The intelligent speaks little and learns much;
The unintelligent speaks much and learns little.
