Crowded mall,
Frenzied shopping feet,
Jostling carts,
At last my shopping done.
Dragging my feet and trolley
I  manage to come out onto the street,
The traffic was a nightmare,
Crossing the road was a battle,
Nobody cared to help,
Busy in their own thoughts.
I felt alone, a reject,
I looked around,
I saw a street beggar a few feet away from where I stood,
He smiled kindly,
Left his post,
Took my hand and my trolley and helped me cross the road,
He waited until my bus came.
I offered him some change left in my purse,
He refused saying,"No mammy  kindness is free."
Tears in my eyes I thanked him thinking getting it is priceless.
