Indelible Ounces

The whiteness of the milky way
witness your name invariably
in the corner of chaos and order
Inside fragments of settled sediments

There are words that I await
to stream from the fountain
the base of the veined heart
Inside a core to be uncovered

Phrases that wish to be whispered
the nudges of intentions held back
collapsed and clasped in a clap
the ribboned truth that fades

Tell the tales of the indelible ounces
Pronouns and nouns of love and hate
Proverbs of the scent of your breath
The Jasmine that roasts your tongue
Let it's smell infuse my jumbled being
Tell the tales of the indelible ounces
Taboos and tattoos of eternal love
Traffic and tarmacs of the road travelled
The lavender that seduces your mind
Let it transfuse my animate system
Tell the tales of the indelible ounces
Songs and secrets of the bright sighs
Sums and seams of endurance
The cinnamon that spices your life
Let your kiss evaporate in my mist mouth
Tell tales of the indelible ounces
Nuances and notes of our untold story
Novices and nemesis of the unnamed race
The rose that savours your sweetness
Let your hands caress and weaken
As you tell the tales in indelible ounces
Words I long to hear....open up babes!

strawberry fields
u got me waiting
blue eyed dreamer girl
like

eating dreams
we on an ultralight beam
and evenings are gold

you got to know i haven't
always felt like this
heaven's got dawn streets
laced with honey-faith
and sunlight texture

grace my feet
and i **** with that
just with your friends
and your blue eyes

/****/
so smitten.

Little Bear
sometimes you may only see the sun
from behind the clouds
and feel the rain fall
upon your hair ~
but you do not see
that the sunlight
only serves to shine
from within you
and how it makes the ebony
glisten so ~
you may feel
the bitter winds upon your skin
as it cuts you to the bone ~
whilst i know
you deserve to walk barefoot
in the breezy part of the day ~
you may wake
to feel ten feet under ground ~
and yet i truly believe
that we
each one of us
wish to ride upon your wings

Homunculus
How do people go to sleep at night?
I've never understood, I must confess
for only once the dawn exudes its light,
does my fatigue subdue me with duress,

But when the sun is hid behind the clouds,
or buried in the snowy mountain tops,
my thoughts are racing, and they're very loud,
and seldom is it that they ever stop,

For, something in my brain, I do suspect,
is wired in a way that is amiss,
so, I take evening hours to reflect,
instead of diving into sleep's abyss

But, oh! If only ****** grew on trees,
perhaps, a night of rest would come with ease.
yup

She pulls out a box of CD's;
says name your poison.
Cobalt-60 will do.

Bare Naked Ladies will be
the band du jour.
I lie on the slab
in the radiation lab...
yes i'm...lying in bed...
like brian wilson diiiid....

I'm wearing my spandex jacket
(where's Donald Fagan
when you need him?).

As LeAnn wraps the
velcro-ed elastic band
around me to bind my arms,
I mention that I miss
the good old days
of canvas
and leather straps.
i'm so sane
it's driving me crazy....

Time stops

I'm motionless

engage mind wander

it's so dangerous
you have to sign a waiver...

embossed positive
and negative
on the massive metal arm
the pluses and minuses
of shooting a carcinogen
at a spot of death
to save my life
*if there's someone you can live without...
then do so....
Italicized words are lyrics from Bare Naked Ladies songs (except for du jour...that's French, Tish...)
