Laura
hello, are you here?
i've crossed the bridge, i guess.
all this time you've been near
but i never really got my yes.
no - i've got nothing at all
because that's what i've given you
the bridge had no chance to fall
it's just kept on building anew.
this side is just fine;
the fence is breaking down
no blockage, barriers, clear drawn lines
yet you seem so entitled to the crown.
it's taken me time to realize, sure
that it's me who set it on your head
i know you're obviously not who you were -
you're a symbol; royalty of my memory instead.
months and miles are ready for you, now
tell my nostalgic desires so long
i'll cross the bridge back, if you'll allow
but look, like that,
it's gone.

I'm the kind of girl
That you won't miss right away
But I'm the kind of girl
That will make you wish you'd stayed

Because I'm the kind of girl
That gets inside your head
And I'm the kind of girl
You'll remember til you're dead

And you're the kind of boy
That thought he wanted more
You're the kind of boy
Who was scared of what was in store

And you're the kind of boy
Who was too blind to see
That with this kind of girl
We could have been a perfect we

But I'm not the kind of girl
To let a coward back in
I'm not the kind of girl
A few simple words can win

I am the kind of girl
That draws strength from the tears
And I'm the kind of girl
Who faces all her fears

So be the kind of boy
That isn't scared to care
So the next girl you fall for
Won't leave you standing there
You fantasized about her
She was the lion that you could not control
She was the bright fire in the distance
That you craved to behold

You wanted nothing and nobody above her
You extended your dark hands in her direction
You charmed her and tricked her
But I'm sure you have since learned your lesson

You desired to cage natures beauty
You stripped her voice and bound her ankles
You danced & raved "You're mine. You belong to me"!
Then you placed her in shackles

Little did you know then,
As you beat her and starved her hunger
That she was the strongest of the pack
A natural born hunter

You caged a lioness
But don't you know you can't cage a soul?
She may have appeared as a weak one for a while
But you had never caged another like her before

Careless and shallow you were
You beat her until she broke
But all you did was bring out the killer in her
She broke through your chains and sliced your throat.

I'm sorry if the heart
beating
beating

just for you
Is now something
You wish
Would stop.
This frantic call
Keeps me
awake,
Cursing its
cardiac
Confession.
If only it knew
you don't love me anymore.
