Squint through the petals of rose,
You'll see polka dots dancing across her nose,
Now hear the wind sing a tune of morose,
You'll see a broken smile was all she could compose.

Shatter my resolution to imprison,
This very soul in me.
For from the dust He is risen,
And so I will be free.

He woke up in a stupor,
With him facing the mirror,
And there he saw her hold,
Two dresses in a fold.

"Should I wear the black,
Of which colours lack?
Or should I pick the blue?
Oh God, I don't have a clue. "

He rubbed his eye,
And let his finger lie,
Pointing between the two dresses,
She nearly tore at her own tresses.

" You're not helping me!"she yelps,
And he said "Both looks good, I'm of no help!"
Alas, her voice was slowly starting to grate his ears,
While all he wants is for her to be not near.

"Fine! I'll wear the blue dress!
And let's no longer make a mess!"
With that he flopped right back onto his mattress,
And dreamed the black dress on his mistress.

Slipping through the cracks of her chambers,
Her almond eyes searched wide asunder,
For a person whose face she no longer remembers,
Yet whose heart her own knows like no other.

Sunshine and moondust adorned my reverie,
I miss you,
Like the sun that sets before my eyes,
Within my vision,
But never within my grasps.

Sadness take root,
Spilling clear dew on its shoot,
Sometimes I wish I could stay put,
Never thinking of all the what-could.
