The abyss is full of all but forgotten memories
I see their talons reaching for me
I don't want them
The scars are sickly deep
The sting too fresh
and yet, they are drawing me in

The tang is overly sweet
memories tainted with doubt
Is that a real smile
a real laugh
It can't be.

I know what comes of what was
how can we have been a family
how can I have memories
of love and of joy
when everything becomes dark
full of hatred and mistrust

The memories are sickly sweet
but there's something else
they transform in dark shadows
they are tainted with the knowledge
with an understanding

I fear them.

Whoever said time heals all wounds is a fool.
Time is a thief.
He waits until you are your most vulnerable.
He waits until you are alone.
He waits until you are content with life
and that's when He strikes.
He'll corner you in the dark on your best-known street.
He'll beat you and He'll beat you.
You will wish you were dead
because you don't think you can take much more.
And still He'll beat you and He'll beat you.
And then, He will give you a break.
As soon as you catch your breath
He'll begin to beat you and He'll beat you.
Until finally, you've had enough.
And Time, well, He just laughs in your face.
And whispers, but oh so loudly, that you will never heal.
He whispers that He will see you soon
to beat you. And He'll beat you.

there’s a blank page
black keyboard
endless possible words
and my mind wonders
to you
the words scream
at me
so many words

You look
But do you see
Do you see what lives
Behind the veil
The veil that is black
In the girl
The girl that survived
The ultimate horror
The horror that shouldn’t have happened

Why is it so easy
To type the words
And yet they stay locked away
Until the worst possible time
In that box that is everything
It rattles and rocks
It wont let itself be forgotten
In its world of nothing

Have you ever felt cold
In a hot room
Have you ever felt that chill
In your very core
Have you ever felt goosebumps
In every crevice of your body
Have you ever felt unending dread
In the moment everything changed
