Walk in a garden
Tending flowers costs us time
The love is for free
R Dickson Jul 2020
Swing parks play parks,
Climbing frames and chutes,
Where a’ the kids would run an’ fa’,
Some in fitba’ boots,

Skateboard skaters all are quiet,
No clickety clack on the park,
No high flying tricks,
That were once seen in the dark,

The grass is long, the weeds are high,
The dandelions are rampant,
No one to run the mower,
The gardeners are all absent.
The gardeners are all absent,

I grow this garden
With tender care
Hydrangea, Water Lily, Rose
All fail to meet your presence
For the queen dances in
An oasis of beauty
The humming of an angels choir
Spun around the buds
Sought the smell of petrichor.

Aster, Azalea, Angraecum
Entwining vines of amative domain
Secreting morning dew
Reflecting the suns shine
Imitating the beauty of the moon
Presenting an Orange Blossom
May eternity rest in the entwined vines.
"We do not own the earth, we are part of it." These wise people understood that what we take or use, we must return in kind to maintain balance and equilibrium. Clearly, modern man with all his applied learning and technology has forgotten this. Subsequently, we currently face ecological disaster and eventual extinction because of our hunger for power and a few pieces of gold.
let me be clear, i did not write this! but i absolutely love this and needed somewhere to save it where i will never lose it/can use it again.
