it's kind of one of those nights.
you know.
the one that makes you want to crash your car on the highway.

it's one of those nights.
where your phone is full of people.
but nobody is home.

and the only people you really want to talk to,
are the ones who decided you're no longer worth their time.
so out with a bang you go, my dear.

Seems to be
You've forgotten my name
My name which I'm sure
You never cared much about anyway

Seems to be
I've forgotten your name
Forced amnesia is a treat
Especially when you've forgotten about me

For all the time I've know you
You've worn a mask upon your face
It appeared beautiful, perfect, and friendly
But now I realize that wasn't the case

For hiding underneath that mask
Was a soldier bent on destruction
Posing as a comrade fighting for good
But following the other side's instruction

You wormed your way into our ranks
And we accepted you as one of our own
But all of us were unaware
Your true intentions had not yet been shown

When an opportunity presented itself
You struck without any hesitation
Our troops started dropping left and right
Without any sign of infiltration

You knew you only had so long though
Before your actions got you caught
So you moved to abolish your final target
A tougher task than you had thought

That night, when you attacked me
You allowed your mask to fall
And as you fled, I caught a glance
Of the real person beneath it all

Well, "What doesn't **** you makes you stronger"
And you make me tougher every day
Which is why no matter what you do
I refuse to let you stand in my way

I learned some valuable lessons
About how you fight this war
And now those same old boring tactics
Won't work here any more

So thank you for the knife
That you embedded in my back
For you just gave me the tool I need
To defend against any future attack.

ITS GETTING BAD.
ITS GETTING BAD.
ITS ALREADY BAD AGAIN.
i want to scream this at everyone that asks me how i am.
but i know that's not the question they're asking.
and that's not the answer they want.
so... ITS GETTING BAD
turns from a scream to a fake smile and a polite, "i'm well, thanks."

it's not right.
for you or for me.
but regardless,
here we are.

and there we go.

it's not right.
but it's right here.
so here we are.
and we'll never go back.

i like my peanut butter crunchy.
and my jelly so i can taste the seeds.

i like your hand in mine,
                                                                                       and kisses on my cheeks.

i'm not scared of the dark,
but love gives me cause for concern.

i'm not scared of you, my dear,
but i'm scared you won't return.

i like my peanut butter crunchy,
because that's how you always made it.

and the seeds caught in your teeth,
                                                                               that made your smile perfect.
this is dumb. but that's okay.
