The curse of pain

The curse of paralyzing fears
The curse of true love
The curse of being different
The course of dejection
The curse of joy

The curse of self-expression
The curse of resilience

All these are a poet's curse
To these curses I am doomed
But I need no cure

Tell me who’s the biggest fool of all,

Who’s the ugliest of them all,

Who’s most damaged of them all,

Mirror mirror,
On the wall,
Lie to me,

May I see a little clearer,

Oh how I appal.

All that look my way,
Mirror what do you say,
You should only speak the truth,
You should only speak to sooth,

Mirror mirror why do you lie,
I know I asked, but please don’t make me cry,
Mirror mirror I whisper goodbye,
Mirror Mirror let me die..

Dreams filter in as the setting sun plays tag through the trees.
Colors explodes across the sky and all that was today drifts away..

Stop hesitating,
Only giving up a glimpse of your love.
Stupid fool,
Don't you know I adore you?

Some days I chase these views and I watch the world pause. I get to take it all in for a moment. Some days it heals me, other days it reminds me that I'm simply running from my own reality. That's when I recognize how unhappy I've been.
