I take a huge step
To be right in front of her
So she's safe and sound

Autumn Rose
I caught a
tear falling
from the
diamond sky.
A forgotten
memory from
the moon
now i do
behold.
Like a
silver ocean
pearl.
Purple eyes
of the universe
laced with
stardust.
Her tears-
they fall
like dried
rose petals
in the late
summer...

Two nightingales
sitting on a
pine tree,
singing together
to the crystal sea.
I wonder how
each nightingale
has a someone
to sing to a
little forest melody.
Oh, how they
sing so soft,
so sweet.
I wonder
if my heart
keeps singing,
will my melody
go to someone
who will sing
back a
love song
to me...

Unparalleled

Some nights mum comes banging on my locked door -
she won't let me miss the sunset;
and it's beautiful
as we sit outside in our matching dressing gowns -
gazes totally fixed.
People say that God isn't real, but who painted this?
Where are Evolution's arms?
What incredible imagination could Mother Nature have?
No: this kind of beauty stands alone,
unparalleled and more than enough to
capture attention for hours as
it gracefully descends.

To spend a day sailing in the sky
and flying through wind and blue;
thoughtless and weightless, fearless and thinking
only of such a rush.

I'd spend a day flat on my back amongst
the longest grass - above all the leaves
but beneath the trees;
I'd listen to nature's gentle hush.

A night with bright things and the moon as it sings:
how transfixed we are at the stars.
I'll escape the city, for the buildings are pretty,
but nothing's home like a clear sky.

Little fireflies
are dancing.
I open my window
To greet the
gentle breeze.
Underneath, roses
are blooming
But empty sighs,
Like leaves,
are falling.
The night begins
to shine,
It's in my hair.
And midnight sends
the early dewdrops
to rest upon my eye lashes,
Like ocean pearls.
Tranquillity is beckoning,
Yet I Wonder why
I still can't find my rest.
Until the sun peeps
through the
transparent curtain
that covers me...

Tranquillity
flowed through
the stirred
Briar Roses,
The sweet fragrance
lingers on,
Upon the Silver pond.
Suddently
A white water lily
emerges.
It slowly opens
to show us
the frog as she
plays with her
long pearls above,
With a Red-heart arrow.
Waiting for
little Ivanushka
to retrieve it...

If only

Sorry you are no longer here. If only I could talk to you and let you know how much you really are loved. If only we were allowed do overs.  To take back words that I know hurt you. If only I could have that last phone call we had, only this time I would not hang up on you. If only I could talk to you again and be the friend I should have been. If only.

Christmas

Christmas is just around the bend
Another long year has come to an end
13 Christmases you've been away
It's sad to have another Christmas this way
As I put the decorations up on the wall
I have little teardrops that start to fall
As I stand and look at the Christmas tree
I wonder if you ever think of me
It's funny how with Christmas I can be glad
And at the same time my heart is so sad
If you only knew, if you could only see
You not being here is so hurtful for me
When this Christmas comes to an end
I will start my wishing all over again
I wish that I will see you, and hug you too
And have my Christmas wish come true
Next Christmas
