Time flies...
Shalini Jain May 2015
Time flies faster than the sand thou beholds
In today's world it means more than gold

There are times we turn back and smile
"Hey i dint realise
Time so swiftly flew by!"

And sometimes time crawls slower than the sloth,
When sitting through a boring lecture
Or listening to someone endlessly talk.

And when we get deadlines time feels like money,
We start using it like a miser bunny.

Time doesn't stay stagnant
And never does it stop
Though lovers might deny
Immersed in beloved's eyes
They forget to see the clock!

Men see time according to there needs,
And wish it moved at a pace they pleased.

Time is a healer,
Time is a killer,
Time if treasured can lead to success
But if wasted life can be an ungrateful disgrace.
Only the ones who use time aptly are able to make the most out of their lives.

Heart's yearning
Shalini Jain May 2015
Oh look at thy heart,
It yearns for the love,
Love which is pure,
And makes it feel secure
Love which is worth the trust,
Not merely meant to gratify thy lust
Love which is filled with devotion,
And balances complicated emotions
Love which is passionate,
The limit of which is infinite
Love which helps thy evolve,
And where all boundaries dissolve
Let love be that serene fountain of happiness,
Where the heart can attain its salvation,
Which helps it find its true destination.

Oh thy sea,
Perched on damp rocks beside you,
Rocks slightly drier than my heart
Captivated, I come to you seeking solace.
Listening to music you are a maestro of,
Talking to the waves,
Revealing them all my,
Joys and sorrows,
Fears and inhibitions.

Prattling together like old pals lost in chat
Meeting o'er a cup of serenity
The cool breeze ruffles my hair,
Almost whispering "Hey, you are not alone";
The waves send my way slight splashes,
Waking me up from my daydreams,
All say I am lost,
I say I am searching.

As I lay by your shore,
With a heart pretty sore
You fill it with your wisdom,
I see you,
Clashing, chasing, fighting the rocks
You too do fall,
Only to come back again stronger
Not letting their strength,
O'erpower your will to rise higher
I see you strive o'er and o'er again
Cautioning me to not be hopeless
But to get up and try again.
