I See You
Sara Jones May 2015
I saw your face today
No I didn't get sad or anything.
I got angry because I know you saw me too.
You saw my moms car and looked the other way, biting your nail as you do.
I know it was you.
It wasn't your truck,
But I'd know that green ballcap anywhere.
Because I'd steal it every time we were together.
I'd know that God awful plad shirt anywhere
It was and if your only nice shirt
You always wore it all nice and tucked in on dates
So don't text me once you stumble upon this and say it wasn't you
Because I may be sick with terrible eyes
But I always know when I see you.

like sanity fading to the back of my mind
a mind of which i no longer hold claim to
controlled and medicated
for false reasons
a misguided diease
i stare in horror at figures you dont see
dileauded grasp on reality
objects resemble those from a dream
i try to hide the tears
but they guide their way down my cheeks
fall softly upon my lips
i taste their salty kiss.
sense of sweet nothingness
and everything all at once
shhhhhhhh
if you listen you can hear them calling my name
like their screaming out to me
in vain attempts to help me stay sane.
so baby hold my hand
i promise i wont cry
ill tell you all im better
ill tell you all a lie.

"You're an angel"
He says.
"My angel."
I squeeze both of his hands a little tighter and plant a kiss on his pale wrinkle-plad cheek.
His lips mimic a smooch-
Looking more like a puckering goldfish than anything else.
I smile that smile only he can bring to my face,
As if I were the sunshine that lights the blue sky's of his eyes.
I wrap my arms around him, burying my face into his sleeve.
"I love you" I say.
"I love you too... Angel" his lips murmer as they continue to sputter out kisses.
Remember.
We don't use that word much here.
Tomorrow he will forget that I love him so dear.
But as long as his smile still shines and his eyes gleam bright blue,
I will never forget how I love him so true.

Worker Bee

He works
Every day.
I see him there
Every time.

He tells me
That he has no life,
And I pity him.

Every single day,
Those stupid plad shirts,
Smoking a cigarette if it's not too busy.

Every day,
I see him
and he tells me to never lose my youth,
Because he lost it.

He says to go on adventures in his honor,
So I do.

Shun thyself
Taketh the needle out
Stick thyself
Politicians of doubt

Lay down thy stone
Bury thine head
Let the bird flyeth free
And remember thine dead!!!!

Crying shame of pain and doom
Walk the line,
Play thy tunes!!!!

Heavy hearted
Soul of man
Tidy up thy mansion
Do the best thou can

Pull the trigger
Drop thy bombs
Smoke out the ashes
The clay turned dung

Tiger eyes
Diamond blood
Tombstones to plant
Names to shrug

Grow thy beards
Where thy plad
Wear glasses of fashion
And clothes of drag

Maketh thy pupils
Large and small
Taketh thine pills
Behind the wall

Tip thy bottles
Back to false success
Go to school
No rules to thine own stress

Get to work
Five minutes til
Wear thy mask a while
Don't  pay thy bills!!!

Smile as thou runneth
And runneth as thou kills
Take the stab from thy own knife
At thine own will

Mask thyself
In blackened grey
Gravedigger
Bury mine grave

Help thyself
Help noone else
Crawling out a hole
That thy parent's hast built

Mommy and daddy
Don't poison me
This stomach's full
Of sinful seed

Hypocrite's judge
Critics ashamed
Bring me sunlight
Of ****** rain

Teareth me down
Build the wall
Case me like benches
In trenched bathroom stalls

Proud and dumb
Dumb and proud
Thy heart still aches
To the fate of the crowd

Innocent murmers
Poems a must
Cops still raging
To a hippy bus

Prosecutors take thy stance
Shackle me
Taketh mine romance
Waketh me at 9:23

It's time
Maby its thou I shalt see

Misfit
Jay M Sep 2019
A shrew among the mice
A salamander among the lizards
Something so small
Yet so different
Hiding among them

People walk past
Not noticing the little creature
Walking among them
Almost trampled
Dodging the pillars of flesh and bone
Covering itself in strange fabrics
Silk, cotton, polyester,
Stripes, polkadots, plad,
Tassels, ribbons,
Until only they are visible
And at long last,
It is seen.
But, not for what it truly is

A coqui among the bullfrogs
A turtle among the tortoises
Almost unnoticed…

But then
A thread is pulled
The fabric unwinds
A small, unusual creature is revealed
Far, far beneath the textiles;
A misfit
