Semi-literate Poet  Sep 2018
Me
Me
My name is Antoine Nunez....I am an Iron dog and Scorpio...born in Queens NYC in 1970.  I wear my pain and faults like a badge.  I love ferociously and ferociously defend what I love. I make no excuses for who I am though I am not always proud of what I've done.

I am Colombian American.  I live in a garage with my dog Domino.  I have had material wealth and success and all it brought about was stress.  I sling a hammer. I have friends in all corners of the world that I would defend with my life.

I am a loner...no girl no kids no ex no wife.  I live by the motto better alone than in bad company.  I have given my heart thrice ...the first two ******* 12 years from my life.  This last I was sure would be my wife.

I am not ugly though not Adonis.  My beauty isn't physical....as I'm in the twilight of my life.. it's what's in my mind...the person that this smooth and bumpy road has fashioned....that make me who I am.

I don't hide...have no need to lie.  What you see is what you get...the mountains where I run to cry  don't care about my height.

My name is Antoine Nunez....i don't want to fight....so I'll let you all know everything to make it easy to take my life.

My name is Antoine Nunez and on any God given day you can try to ***** me at the corner of my block in the varrio....165th St. and Norwalk Blvd. Norwalk, CA

Or you can come for just a hug.
The real me.......I invite you death....come and get me.... I'll rip off my shirt so you can shoot me in the chest
Introducing Picasso and Nunez aka ANu Picasso a pair of L.A. poets and painters coming to a gallery near you.

Our first big gig will be at the Nuetra Gallery and Museum on Glendale Blvd. in Silver Lake coming up in September.

Come check out East and West Balanced, it will surely be an art show you'll always remember.

Curated and coordinated by the one and only, Dulce Stein, Dulcepalloza 2018 guarantees a good time.

Just another ditty on who we are, this is a poem my partner Picasso put out:

BALANCED

He is the torch
I am the white
He is the dark
I am the light
We don't impress
   to be blessed.
We're blessed
   to impress
Hate us or love us
But don't love to hate us
We're the Ying and
the Yang of this Earth
Both with the
same day of birth
He is the east
and I am the west
But together we're
simply the best.
You are all cordially invited to the Neutra Museum and Gallery in Silver Lake, CA for our first big show at Dulcepalloza 2018.
Exact dates will be posted in subsequent poem.  Follow or stay tuned for details

So they have found you guilty,
Pinochet’s lover of darkness,
for ending my life tonight.
A football stadium, bodies piled up,
no football today, a perverted game.
Pedro Pablo Barrientos Nunez
how did you learn to terrorize,
to think in ways most men don't think,
to live with walls draped with fingernails?

Now you live in the land of the free,
with 10,000 tortured ghosts,
from El Salvador, Nicaragua, Honduras
and all the rest of the disappeared lands,
that refused to listen to Reagan and Thatcher’s
heritage as patriots.

But we are unafraid to speak up,
or sing out for equality, or write
about the dens of sorrow your kind create.
You took the butchers knife and listened
to the screams, in spite of love in Santiago.
But now the silent dead will have their day,
and tell the world of those 10,000 lost kisses,
as we begin the long march to the sea.
Victor Jara: Former Pinochet general found liable for torture and ****** of celebrated folk singer

You can hitch
Your wagon to his star
And you’ll go down
Like William Barr
We don’t know
Who you are
Lindsey Graham
Or Billy Mahr

Recite talking points
Like Debin Nunez
Swim down a canal
Let’s say the Suez
You’re in a triangle
Ya heard? Burmudez
So all your efforts
Will be fruitless

Strange that
He still has apologist
Lining up all over
Right in our midst
Denying what must
Be called obvious
Makes me stop to wonder
Are they hobbyist?

You have to ask yourself
Are they blind?
Or have they gone
And lost their minds?
Defending such a
Blatant traitor
Someone who’s
A dyed in the wool hater

Delyla Nunez Jan 2021
You were on one knee again.
I was about to say yes.
“Nunez!”

My eyes shoot open and I’m in my red jumpsuit.
I turn to look at the guard, he brought me the book I wanted.
Two nights ago that is.

The girls in my pod were joyous and full of life.
I just smiled when needed and tucked the book under my mat.
Then climbed in my cocoon to fall asleep again till court.

It was four o’clock when I read what happened.
Stabbing you and breaking your phone was the only intentions I had apparently.
Your real name pops up throughout the reading and I’m filled with rage, hurt and vengeance.

Instead I cry.
Screaming inside hoping someone notices.
My heart burned and crumbled.
All because I wanted you to leave and you couldn’t, wouldn’t.

I’m stuck with felonies to fight while you get to run around free.
I hope you never see me again and I to you.
Everyone was right.

I shouldn’t have went back.
I hope to never see you again.
