yasaman johari, i love you my dear.

i do not know you or the life you lead,

but i love you my dear.

i have been stressed like many in this life

death was my friend, beyond an entertaining idea

and you were an angel of godly intention,

you were an intimate poetic connection.

I do not live in a war torn nation;

not one of bombs of high flying creations.

i was stressed, of human emotion.

i was stressed, of inhuman devotion.

you became my kite in a windless city

you became my dream of a world within me.

i cannot express in words

what your words did for me.

i can only share what i write now,

if only because of you.

Hapa ndipo umenifikisha
Umalenga na ujopo
Wa kiingereza tulimudu
lakini kiswahili kitamu
**** la mama litamu
Hata liwe la mbwa

Kimombo kilaini majineno
Kama mayai ya johari
Kuangaza mitima halaiki
Namshukuru Rabuka
Kwa talanta ya kuandika

Tukaumba kwa maneno
Waumbaji nikawaunga
Kama yeye Mungu,
Nguvu za maneno kat'tunukia

Uwezo wa karana hii
Kuwateka akilizo
Nyika na mito kuwavusha
Hadi sayari za ndoto zao
Uswahilini narudi mie
Kitamu kwelikweli

Nashukuru Maulana
Kipaji nilipata
Naye ataniauni
Dau langu lifike kilindini
Nitue kileleni

Niangaze kama Zuhura
Hapa ndipo nimefika
Umalenga na ujopo
N'taukumbatia milele
Kwa Kiswahili na kimombo

Mitima zao kusisimua.

Not a poem!
wordvango Nov 2016
I am wanting to thank some very incredible people.
I also am hoping others will , also.
With that in mind I would like to list
ten poets here I feel people need to read.
My list consists of poets who are always active and generous ,
have good humor and sense.
I would like others to add their ten to my list.
And hopefully everyone eventually gets a shout out.
In the comments list ten poets you admire and would like to see
others appreciate. I will add  them to this list.
If you would like to list more feel free , the more the merrier, and the more
poets get a shout out and their name shared. I will add as many as you can type!
After all , this is goodwill and spirit and sharing and I feel good .

Jawahar Gupta :
Why are you so sad, Yasaman Johari ?

Yasaman Johari : i don't know my kind grandfather,,,,your heart is so beautiful
Your glance,
Carrying the scent of
red carnations...
When the bud blooms...
When the cherries die...
Through your childhood ears...
Summer,
I'd bring you the vase
with bare feet...
The pomegranate tree
Is gone.....
And I don't know...
How to fly through that window?
A yellow glow...
Among the palm trees of
Agave amica...
The smell of  the sun...
From behind the
green mulberry trees...
My mother's voice...
And sliding Two white dandelions
On the skin of my hand...

La La mother's flower...
Mom loves you so much...
She grows roses for you...
La La lily flower...
Hit the wings and hit the wings and flying up...
La La fig leaf...
Don't weave my hair late...
La La moon and star...
The sun is gone...
The flower is awake...
La La moon's flower...
La La moon's flower...
Don't be impatient anymore... Don't be impatient anymore...

Safana Jun 2020
Remember!

The future is near by
That past, has gone

The adventure of darkness
encircled the world. And, that

Time when the
Florescence of the moon 🌙
******* dusky

That moment
Of sunshine,
is sightless

A double whammy,
From far
east and earth

Breeze in the
World life
Entirely

When, it's difficult
To prevent
And, to cure

Whilst, mortality
Eyes suddenly,
Awoken

Species are,
Leaving higher
Ground

Relationship
Gone, very
Not closer

That, a time
When trust
Is frightful

Provisions,
and no food
Supply

Traveling,
And not
To everywhere

Recreation,
And no one
To attend

The scenes,
Are more
Than a war

Remember!

Writing: Safana & Jasaman Johari
What lessons do we learnt during the pandemic of  COVID-19
I think I turned too sharply and missed a step.
I didn’t trip, but I did slip and took a fall.
Now I find myself in the Twilight Zone
Without Rod Serling here to guide me.

I look around to read the words
But they are missing letters.
None of the names are known to me
All are new and foreign

Where are some of the names I know
Ones I read and write to
The ones who read the words I post
And join me on my journey.

Was there rotation of the troops
That I didn’t arrive in time for.
Am I in the wrong battalion now
Headed to places I’ve never been.

Where is Angstrom, Kortas and Omni
Where are Steve, Santita, P Paul
I don’t see Johari, Pradip or Bayan
Did they leave town with Traveler and M-E?

Looking for Fawn, and Graff 88
Ben Noah and Carlo and Walter H
Missing the add-ons of Temporal Fugue
Why are their fingerprints missing?

Who are all those honored poets
With names I’ve never heard before
How did they lap the regulars
In a daily race for notice.

Am I asleep - will I wake up
And find that it was just a dream
And now I’m back with names I know
And no more need to feel alone.

So I will I stay here with my pencil
Posting small bits of my soul
With never a thought to unknown names
Or whether mine will be remembered.

Fascinated by all the new (to me) names showing up in the Daily .
