Forgotten dreams roll by on train cars
Lurch quicker than your mind will have them familiar
Run on coal blacker than his deep well eyes
And yours so strained from ever searching for the bottom
Find static emptiness instead

Like cracked pavement
Reflected in battered bones
With names like home

Where dinnerbells resound in a momentous capture of the wingspan wandress
Retreat inside yourself
My dear
Blow off the hand that sprinkles regret to crust your eyes
At dawn you will be awakened
Blow off your plans like Queen Anne's Lace
Wishing only that you could take to the wind the same

Carry a sunset glow in your shadows
And watch
As people, like sunflowers will be drawn to your light

Love with the girth of your lungs
Relentless and unquestioning
Offering and receiving
As karma sings your songbird heart tune to the clouds
They will part for you
Like Moses' sea
You'll magnetize such energies
Like instinct
Flying to your summer
There will be a clarity

She lives among the stars
Swirls around the sun
But in her daydreams
She's one with the elements
Free flowing as the wind
Her spirit forever burns like wild fire
Her body like the ocean is forever in
motion
dancing to the rhythm of her own drums
from one shore to another she moves
With flowers around her head
  Jewelry on her body
Music in her heart
Pen and notebook in her hand
And eyes set on the infinite sky
To wander and to wonder
Forever enchanted by the mysteries of the earth

wandress
Midnight Aug 2018
you used to be my home
my happy place
you were
so many things
my solace
in times of need
my shelter
from life's rains
my escape
from life's wars
i never felt alone
you always welcomed me
but now
you closed your doors
and kicked me out
i'm a vagabond
a nomad on the roam
i have no home
and you no housekeeper

Comatose waters on a deceased night
Stars draped over banyan roots
  Leaves deluged in the warmth
Of an eerie,  uncanny quiet
All prisoners to the brutish night sky.

Fluttering, vibrant in white gossamer
She sways, ensnaring the banyan leaves
Awakening the murky deep
Vengeance against the silence
That has dwelled, haunted thus long.

         She's a ballerina
     Not of subtle elegant grace,
But sanguine..
    Somewhat saccharine subterfuge
           Harbinger of a moment's ecstasy
                She's a wandress
  And silence, just ONE
Of her many estranged lovers.

Sleep wandress child,
in the light of the sun.
There will be more to see,
and you aren't yet done.

When the moon harshly closes you
still in it's dark,
And you feel yourself swallowed
whole,
by the shark.
You, can scream.
You, can screech.
You, can let out a hark.
Your voice moves the mountains,
and crashes the waves,
Your voice knocks over the aged trees,
Oh, how fierce it behave!
And would you lose your voice,
It would be okay.
Because soon enough,
there will come day.
