You want to break the rules,
but you're not brave enough.
You want to tell a story,
but you can't say enough.
You want to run away,
but you're not fast enough.
You want to break the chains,
but you're not strong enough.
You want to be a better person,
but you simply
do
not
try
enough.
You want to feel alive,
but it seems you just
aren't brave enough.

Today,
while cleaning
my car,
I vacuumed out the spot by the
ash tray and uncovered
a tiny purple ring.
It was put there two years ago
by one of my best friends.
Suddenly I actually remembered
her doing that,
and countless good memories
came flooding back.
I actually stopped what I
was doing,
and couldn't stop saying
wow!
Driving around,
jamming music and
"Cruising for dudes."
Talking about boys,
sneaking beers,
and smoking ****.

She spent some of the best
days of my life with me,
and she was the best,
best friend I've ever had.
I miss her.
You reflect in befuddled wonder
is it the time to be happy or morose
when is reached that page of calendar
where the year comes to a close.

There isn't much you could do about it
there isn't much you could hold
you tried though your every bit
not all pages were written in gold.

It's enough if you remained fit and agile
it's enough if you got a few smiles
it's enough if you could travel all the miles
you stumbled but walked all the while.

It's enough if you hid some of your pain
your bleeding you kept to yourself
it's enough if once without thinking of gain
you offered a stranger your help.

Little you could do to change the events' course
but you tried and it matters no less
it's enough if you've used your little resource
to make this world a better place.
our little good deeds would be enough to save this world from sinking.
a repost.
A Happy New Year to all fellow poets on hp.
in the pleasure of discovering
words rhymes rhythms
i'm a gluttonous poet.

day and night
bite of my growing appetite
makes me sink low

i don't notice
broken pieces
shattered peaces
around me

i breathe in writing
eat and drink
poetry

crazed obsessed stressed
my poetry
like any other debauchery
is an escape ride
someplace to hide

i'm a poet
subservient
to the pleasures of words rhymes rhythms.

So what happens after we fall in love
then I tell you stories
The ones that are invisible to the eyes of many

Then I grew old and reminisced on my weary love aches
the ones that got you here

Once upon a time the moon was brighter than the sun
now that's how you begin a love story
then I tell you about the daring ghosts

But first love her most
your mother
the months of agony are irreplaceable, priceless

My child
Love is real
you float like a feather
Then when you find your person
be sure to tell your kids that
Love is Life

Your soo lucky you look beautiful
and I bet you didn't know am your favorite cloud, yeah, favourite cloud

Me running towards the sun to shade you is just a normal thing.
               The heat, my face falling
scorched skin , this is me preparing for the theaters
You see, am a good actor, the one who just likes to cry at night and eat ice cream in the morning

Ice cream in the morning! I know that's strange, but I have to freeze my heart so that I can run to  the sun
when poets melt then romance fades
inspired by wicked hope
She's so fragile like a flower
So I am careful not to hurt her
She has nothing like thorn or spine
I love and adore her forever

She's so beautiful like a flower
And I always admire her beauty
She's my inspiration and strength
Someone who sees the best in me

She's so lovable like a flower
Not only because she is pretty
But because she has a good heart
Like a flower,  she's perfect for me.
She's his flower...
