Tend to me
Like a thirsty garden once forgotten
Sing to me
Like a crying infant, pure and innocent
Hug me
Like an old friend years after
Look at me
Like an abstract painting, more complex with each glance
Touch me
Like the the cold steel strings of your guitar
Love me
Like you did before
I poem I wrote early last year while thinking about with my ongoing need for co-dependence

voids are places we forget about
I get lost in my daydreams and stumble upon them
oh hello, old friend. Tell me,
how can you miss the absence of nothing?

Goddess Rue
Fresh citrus drip drips,
Upon her sweet cherry cheeks,
Soaked socks by the rocks.
Oh no dear Cherry,
Why is an endearing creature like you,
Alone here by the river?

Your face is flushed!
And your socks, they're soaking wet!
It's dangerous here Cherry,
Best if you not stand in the waters.

Oh Cherry, tell me what happened child.

Cherry:
The river can accompany me,
Washes out my blues,
But I don't want to bring my ***** shoes,
That would be rude of me.

Can I stay here a little longer?
