I'm scarred
By the childhood I never had
By the love and care I never got
By the love that was unrequited
By the hurt I felt
By the pain in my heart
By the emptiness in my soul
By the lack of happiness
And abundance of sadness
By the blade in my hand
By you.

I wrote a poem about you
that I didn't want to keep
so I wrote it by the ocean
in the sand beneath my feet

I sat there by it silently
listening to the waves
just watching the tide come in
at the end of this pensive day

As the sea gently rolled in
and washed away the words
salty tears began to fall
as the ocean took away the hurt

I will never share with you
the words written in the sand
I'll never kiss those lips I long to
or feel the gentle caress of your hands

I remain seated here alone
the poem just a memory in my mind
a pain still lingers within my heart
a mixture of loss and longing combined

One day I'll retrace the words again
in the glorious golden sand
maybe you'll see them this time
and just maybe you'll understand
This came from a conversation about my fear of being stranded without pen and paper.   It went a completely different way, but I followed my heart

Be my constellation
faerie dreams
come true
you will be
my magic
your one true love
fantasy guides you
to me
          to me
                    to me
a star will
never shine
with a broken heart
light this midnight
sky together
we will fill
until love is there
to over spill
from our hearts
blessed are those
so few.*
I love you

There was a magician from Bath
I couldn't help but laugh-
While performing his magic
His act turned quite tragic-
He sawed his assistant in half
He wondered what to do
So he called a wizard he knew
Who cast a spell
And truth to tell
Joined her back good as new

I was use to the unusual
The pain and torment of dysfunction
And in return he loved me more than I knew or noticed

I was distracted
By the glitter and appeal of "we will, "we are," and "us"
That I'd forgotten about me
And him
And the beginning

Twirling him around my finger
Losing sight of my ambitions
Slightly unsure where to go

He is mine
Or half of me?

Without a way of knowing what's best
But only knowing what's right
And never knowing who is wrong

If I knew myself better
Love would never bleed
And April would have stayed all year long

You are my one true confidant
and keep my secrets well
When touched by my salty diamonds
you never do tell

You swallow up the dark
and fill me with strength anew
Does not matter how much
dark blows through

Just throw it out
and it goes away with the tide
All can be healed
when you have the sea at your side
