No matter how close together our hearts are
There will always be two cages between
Some of them weaved in bone and tissue
Others are the kind that cannot be seen

As close as you are to me
Closer still I want to be

If I could touch your hand and know your skin
Would find a way to let me in?

So many walls that you have put up
Some barriers broken by your mind
Physically in our own little domain
Some barriers of a different kind

You remain in sand buried in a beach
Letting the waves take their toll
I would dig you out my love
But in this life it is just a role

*Send me your waves
So when the world ends
And the oceans rage
We will still drink deep
Of each others love
With over a million stars in the sky,
There is only one I want,
The one I want to see each night before I close my eyes,
The one that completes me,
The one that makes me feel loves,
You are that beautiful star,
My one and only,
I love you..
For the one I love
I will not be remembered as the leader of a mighty Army or drum major in a marching band ! Nor recognized by all of mankind for my scientific acumen , climbing Kilimanjaro or exploring the depths of the oceans ! My eulogy would not describe a man of great intellect such as the architect , lawyer or engineer ! Let my tombstone reflect upon the days of a Father , musician , poet and dreamer , that passed away with curiosity , not sadness .. A sometimes troubled man , with a love for the Arts , sunsets and the animal kingdom with a firm grasp of cherished , life long Southern traditions and moral principles* ...

I wish I could show love,
Rather than just feel it.

I wish I could ignore hate
Instead of being consumed.

The desire to radiate the affection
I feel for others,
Rather than stuttering and stammering
When the words won't come out right
Or they are misinterpreted
Or merely disregarded
As lies.
to reach your destination,
you must walk slowly
with passion
and dedication

This was once a construction site.
Unpainted concrete walls, skeleton of
A building exposed.

Now most floors are inhabited;
Offices in use as if they'd always
Been this clean and complete.

Some sections are still unfinished, and
The few of us still working here are
Alien shadows in filthy workwear,

Ghosts from the slow birth of a
Fraction of the Oslo cityscape.
Rugged midwives

Not fitting in with the suits and
Dresses we sometimes pass in the
Corridors.

So strange, the scent of perfume and
Female products. No more diesel and
Dust here these days.

My colleague flips his cigarette **** on
The pavement outside the entrance,
Stealing a gaze at a passing skirt.

*I love the sound of
High heels in the
Morning.
