Trump is a Demagogue
Fear and prejudice
The Americans are ignorant
******* times like this

Time to reread Moby ****
Sail with Ishmael
Sail on to Seattle
Sing at night at Kells

He
was weak in everything
But
in one thing he was strong
That was money
Because he did not love it

It was his fate.
The whirling worlds His Potter's Wheel
What Darwin sought His fiery kiln
To forge a Man So strong and smart
He takes the nest of stars by storm!

God shapes His clay. Behold a sponge!
He shapes some more. He has a fish
That dances in the waters deep
And Jesus laughs and claps His hands!
As yet they do not know.

God shapes His clay a  little more
Soon a creature stands before
Him on its little legs.
The creature walks but yet still swims!
God calls: His creatures walk on land!
But still they do not know.

God shapes His clay a little more
Soon dancing Dragons, Birds and Bears.
And Jesus dances on and on
But still they do not know.

Then finally, the Dawn of Man
The clay Lump wakes and knows!

A zillion mothers nourish young
a zillion fathers fight and mate

A Zillion years of fear and joy
A zillion years of pain and love
A billion years of work and stress
Of starving times and spilling blood.

All of this the price God paid
To make a Man of Mud.
i never wanted to invade-
do you really believe you’re so special?

no one leaves their planet
unless the planet is a black hole’s mouth.
you only warp for another sun
when Krellpoint is spinning apart.

no one puts their spawn in a saucer
unless the empty blackness is safer than the crust.
no one spends lightyears in a mycelial freighter’s stomach,
chewing orvac resin,
unless distance is safety.

my nestmate, who once tangled me breathless
beneath the humming fusion spire,
now clutches a fading picture of our spawn.
her limbs thinned, her carapace dulled,
thorax trembling with night-terrors-
you only leave home
when home won’t let you stay.

and still these failed-sapiens say:
“ugly blue tax burdens,
sponging off the system.
they smell like burnt toast,
they broke their home,
so now they squat in ours.”

the peltless chimps hiss behind fences,
afraid of their own shadows
yet sneering at ours,
as if survival were a crime.
NIMBYs shrieking loudest,
as if an alien nest
would devalue their lawns.

their scientists bullied by autocrats,
their people split into tribes
that claw at each other in the dust.
you’d never choose to live among them
unless you were very, very desperate.

but a holding cell in Area 51
is safer than a city of fire.
they call this an invasion?
i call it survival.

home is a collapsing sun,
home is a nebula of famine,
and anywhere, even your Walmart parking lot,
with its gum-stuck asphalt and buzzing lights,
is safer than there.

Man can watch a TV show
And put it on to tape,
Catching those fleeting ethereal waves For future watching's sake.

Surely God can watch a Mind And see its brain waves soaring free
And on His Celestial Videotape
Make sure that Soul will always be!

We can take a pile of films
That are black and white and glum

And re-edit them and change their tint
To all the colors neath the Sun!

Surely God can take our Souls
That are old and dull and sad
And reedit us and change our Moods
To Rainbow, Technicolor glad!
Barren windswept place:
The Man-Ape stands on two legs
And realizes God!

Earth is rich and warm
Wanderer takes small seeds and
Gives back to the soil!

Should Humans be Slaves?
Let us catch the wind and make
It push our boats!

Child stands by the sea;
Are there other lands out there?
Let us go and see!

Small silver Spider
Webless, comes forth from its womb
Man now knows TWO worlds!

Red fiery Mountains!
Mars-winds howl out their anger!
No use; Man has come!

Deep night. Stars glow strong
The little Starship shoots on
In the hands of God!

The shuttle craft zooms
Low, over the new World. Look!
Man is not alone!

The galaxy: full
Of Life. Friends and foes,
Adventure. Knowledge!

Golden wheels, waltzing
Whirling in the velvetness
Mankind comes to live.

The Golden Being
Soars over His turning worlds.
Calls. His Children come!

Star-set of the worlds.
The God-Sons float like FIRE-FLIES.
Safe airless freedom!

Ylem explodes. Its
dust Like Phoenixes, become
New Worlds! Time Begins again!
