With the weight of a thousand voices
The tears come and then they go
Yet truth is fact ...

Realizing a must
Drifting cross those burning dreams
And smile the smile that she would wish to see
The eyes so full of tears and fright
What to do with the night
They were standing there bare
Wondering what to wear
When blinking eyes
The love was gone
On those afternoons gone by ...

If spring is made for renewal
It’s the memories that make it so
With candles for fingers
She turns to the sun
Radiance in her hands
Stars are for yesterday
That was in her eyes
Drops of bright white yearning
For his heart ...

Knowing she is not his mate
Sweet surrounding would envelope her
Now that it is all gone
Kisses were words
With loving grace
Like Eve in Eden
She long for the apple
That serenaded from his lips
That swoon her to his love ...

She went to sweet slumber
Five hundred miles away
A paragon of beauty
So full of longing
To face another day ...*
