I pack my bag. A girl approaches me.
"I love your jacket!"
/I hate my life/
"Thanks! Me too!"
I quickly make my way across the sidewalk.
"I really like your shoes."
/I really don't like being alive/
"Thank you! They're from Target"
I look down at my tattered notebook.
"I wish I could be as athletic as you!"
/I wish I could get hit by a car/
"Hard work and dedication, you'll get there!"
I start filling out a math problem.
"Wow you're really smart."
/I don't even know how to put my life back together/
"Thanks! I study a lot."
/If by studying you mean crying/
I crumple papers with shaking hands
"I love you're sense of style"
/I wish I had a sense of direction/
"It makes me feel good."
/I don't even know if I have feelings/
I slouch into my desk.
"You look tired."
/I'm tired of all these problems/
"Not really, I just naturally have circles under my eyes."
I look up to a familiar face.
"How are you doing?"
/I'm drowning/
"I'm...okay."
