There You Are
Its been a while
but then there you are
High atop the hill
Overlooking my heart
You stand there with tender hands
Ready to caress my pain within ...
You said... Life is funny
We love laugh and cry,
But its not worth while if your not in it ...
I considered you my friend'
Maybe a Lancelot or Casanova?
You called when you were blue
A joy to hear your voice on the other end ...
Calming my storm, within
I close my eyes once again
Unsound
You are still in love I suppose ...
We will talk for hours
And my heart stands still
Laughter will sound from my side
My smile is weak, I must not cry ...
There is a longing there you know
A longing for what we had
Maybe it wasn't so bad ...
Empty this house
I sit alone
Pondering what went wrong
And there you stand one more time
inviting my heart to carry on ...
Trying to find the nerve of how I feel
Alone it seems so unreal
I made up my mind, the day I view
I will tell you of my love for you ...
You ignore every word I say
How can I love the likes of you?
Tears rushing one more time
Maybe just maybe you will make a change....
Then there you are one more time
Offering me your strong hand
Holding my heart one last time
Knowing just knowing I will fold ...
