I did good by the lots of you
You might deny this, even when it's true
I went down to raise you up
Fought against odds, to reach the top
Though the road was rough, we didn't stop

I gave more than I collect
Not a friend did I ever neglect
I tried my best to please them
But you see, that was a problem
Not every soul deserves a helping hand
Not every soul helps a friend drowning in quick sand
I've given my last
I'm leaving the past
And might you deny this, even when it's true
I know I did good by the lots of you
