I am engulfed by this darkest black,
Waiting for you as I always do.
You will come I’m sure of it
You said you loved me,
This can’t be it.
This story is far from done
I will see this through until I am with you.
I lay on the bed where we spent so much time,
Laughing and giggling,
Cuddling and kissing.
And while I wait I smile and stare
Sneaking over glances,
Filled with hope ,
That I will see you standing there.
See you walk through the door,
To embrace me once more.
But still I wait, and wait I do
But you never come, never walk through
The door I left open just a crack,
To let the light in, dispel this darkest black.
