If I had the courage,
or the grace,
or if this was an old-time movie,
I’d pick Forget-Me-Nots from the garden,
and leave them at your doorstep.

But this isn’t a movie,
and I am but a coward,
so shall the flowers stay where they grow,
and instead, I’ll try to forget
everything.
