He lights another smoke
While she lays on the bed
The night is still young
But the flames are dead

Thoughts running through her mind
Of decisions lacking foresight
But she keeps staying
Over and over again

Thoughts running through his mind
All the sweetness and mushy loving
But he still can't give it all up
The thrill and the passion of "love"

Fragments of feelings
Of not so long ago
What keeps them going
Despite all the fighting

Right from the start
Their glow was fading
Doomed to the fate
Of a doused sad ending
