Eyes are on you
Stolen glances
A chill air fills the room
Their bodies turn away
They turn to whisper
You wish you could hear what they say

As though the walls grew
Thicker
Closer

You feel your legs turn to move
Nearer to the exit

In your mind
Your invite has burned to ashes
As you go to leave
A sarcastic voice hums
"Please stay, your presences matters"
