Poems
Nov 2020
christmas with you
As the nights draw in
And the days become cold
I find its you
I am wanting to hold
A hand in mine
An arm around me
Legs tangled
Under a blanket sea
The wind howls outside
The rain bashes down
It’s definitely winter
I can tell from the sound
Winter sounds
Like the wind and the rain
But like laughter, from Christmas
All fun and games
This winter is different,
Because of, you know,
But we’ll soon have Christmas
There’s not long to do
I’m determined to spend it
Right by your side
I’ve told you already
I’ve nothing to hide
As long as I get
My Christmas with you
I won’t complain
If you don’t get me shoes
This year has been different
I think you’ll agree
And dating's not easy
When its just 3 degrees
We’ll find a way through
Like we always do
And we’ll get our Christmas
Just me and you
