Feelings, they can **** everything up. Whether they're good or bad if you cant control them, they'll always be bad. They'll find a way to make someone look too weak, or too vulnerable, or too strong. In a world where we're not given the space to be too anything. Here, being balanced is key, or so we're told. And what that statement does to someone like me who feels everything so profoundly is: it makes us numb. Numb to sadness & numb to happiness. It doesn't allow us to feel anything to the full extent; leading us to eventually become emotionally unavailable. Robots. Heartless. All because we've been taught to look for balance where balance doesn't exist.
