Why do we say the things we say
Why do we talk the way we talk
As if we plan to live each and every day
And yet, even I am afraid to walk
People walk by and by trying to trade, nickels and dimes
We become obsessed, so obsessed we lose, track of time
What about you?
Has life been treating you cruel
If so, why not, why not give up
If I may dare to say it’s because
We all lift each other up
Why do we talk the way we talk
Is it because the way we walk
Why do we say the things we say
I guess, I’ll find out someday
