I place cotton candy
kisses on your cheeks;
I read you poems I
believe were created
from stardust in past
lives I keep forgetting.
I try to copy and paste
memories; taste them
like champagne bubbles.
I’m not always sure if
you understand me
but you try & I try.
I place cotton candy
kisses on your cheeks
and you beg me
to never leave; telling
me that time travel
isn’t really real…
I still believe & I plan
to take you with me.
