May 2019
Caffeine’s always my favorite drug
I can abuse it quietly
No one has to know
And if they do
I can laugh it off
I love it
But the high is sweet
Dragging me out of depression
My whole body buzzing
One more can, bottle, cup, glass, shot...
I can feel it
Everywhere
Mind racing
Eyes open so wide
My hands tremble
Muscles twitch
Little jolts of pleasure
Of course I want coffee
I’m an addict
And I’m not even sorry
