Once was long ago
a memory of the past, too far to go back
Once, you were mine and I was yours
A time when we intertwined

m i n d

your hand, the one I once held tightly
in hopes to never let go
your gaze, the one once intoxicating me
with every blink drowning me further in
your lips, the ones I once savored
with every partake
                                                                             ~kisses
                    soft as cotton, sweet as the ripest peach

your heart, the one I once lived in;
the one I once called home
your soul, the one once mating with mine
becoming a whole

Once was long ago,
too far to go back

Once, you were mine and I was yours
