Feb 2018
it hits me like a train, the realization
that you're my hazy summer, but this is a flirtation

and i'd light myself on fire
just to see your face aglow
i'd climb up every mountain
just to kiss you in the snow

an unrelenting joy that rushes through my veins
when you're beside me, things hardly stay the same

i've been told that this cannot be healthy
this cannot be true love
but 'i don't care,' i say
what else could i make broken hearts out of?
