Time doesn't change everything
as people sometimes say
time changes the seasons
from warm to cold
and
back again

the dark of night
to
light of day

as it changes a child's height
so does it often alter
a grownup's girth

time may change one's hair
to white
or
silver-gray

and carve wrinkles in the skin
steps may slow
and
memory wane

but most are who they are
and
will remain
