Moon's Embrace
When sleep eludes me
My mind bears its soul
To the guardian moon
Shining bright and whole
Tendrils of her light
Reach out to caress me
A silent witness
To my struggle for serenity
When the darkness calls like a siren
And stokes the embers of my fears
The moons sweet embrace
Gently dries my tears
Weak she is not
Tho delicate she seems
She fights my loneliness
With her piercing beams
She patiently waits
For sleep to descend
forever standing guard
As my tireless friend
