a tide of much strength
wrenched the struggling surfer
under its briny churn

shoreline rescuers
hauled this stilled person
onto golden sands

whereby commenced
a resuscitation act
to fill starved lungs

with stocks of oxygen
reinstated by life guards
salvation granted
