I want to crawl inside your chest
and start the beating of your heart,
the pounding of a drum
to spark the stars against the dark.

I want to walk through all your memories
to find your hopes for me,
a wishing well of all the things
you taught me how to be.

I want to climb inside your lungs
where I first learned how to breathe,
show them how to work again
and teach them how to dream.

I want to run among your stories
and teach them how to fly,
a trick to hear your voice again,
just a whisper or a sigh.

I want to lay inside your arms
rocking with the tides,
where pain can never find you
and your love can never die.
