May 2016
the small bit of space in between your irises,
looks like a mirror,
your right eye is lazy,
my left eye too,
so it makes us look as though we're staring at a reflection of life,
humans and all ,
directly and lovingly somehow;
like a mother,
straight at their soul,
only a little bit off,
like we were overwhelmed by
a sense of wonder and awe
with every face we truly saw.
surpisingly hopeful.
