I Could Not Tell You
Most times I would not say
what was wrong
or ask for help
Though, I knew I could
I just could not
tell you
You see, I loved you
and so respect you
I could not tell you
what I had done
less you not respect me
or not like me
What I needed most
was just some feelings
I could only see that you were mad
so seldom glad
at times so sad
I am ok
I think I am
Perhaps, I could be called a man
But that's something I won't say too loud
That is, until I make you proud.
