May 2016
I know love and longing
are not one in the same
So I make no delusions
of love and its pain
but I fell asleep softly
to the sounds of the rain
and in the torrent unleashing
It uttered your name
I promised myself then
to fear no storm again
And the longing grew louder
In the raindrops you stain.
